21 November – 28 December 2026
NDK Park, Sofia
The official opening is on 21 November at 6:30 pm. The festive programme includes a traditional dance re-enactment for the Day of the Christian Family and a spectacular show on the ice rink, followed by an ethno-fusion performance with dance and light effects. The evening continues with live music and ends with a DJ set.
The festival runs until 28 December, with themed events, concerts and charity initiatives throughout. A Ferris wheel and a Christmas carousel are among the rides, and this year the village also has a children's puppet theatre. A retro Christmas bus will run on a special route, with surprises and plenty of festive cheer for every passenger.
The highlight of this edition is a purpose-built ice rink for children and adults: 320 m² of ice, open every day for 38 days from 11:00 to 23:00.
The rink opens on 21 November at 11:00 with half-price tickets. Each session lasts 45 minutes and starts on the hour. There is a dedicated skate hire with more than 600 pairs, and instructors will be on hand to help beginners. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult, and a limit of 100 people per session keeps everyone comfortable and safe. The rink uses environmentally safe coolants and a latest-generation, high-efficiency heat pump. Special demonstrations are planned for fans of ice sports. Tickets are available on site and through Eventim.
Visitors to Sofia Christmas Fest can enjoy food and drinks and choose handmade gifts and Christmas decorations at the art bazaar. The festival supports local producers by bringing them together in a farmers' market, so everyone can taste Bulgarian products.
Once again Sofia Christmas Fest and Rotary Bulgaria join forces in the “From Child to Child — Become a Secret Santa” campaign, where anyone can give a present to children in need.
Sofia Christmas Fest is organised by BSG Media with the support of Sofia Municipality, Sofia Municipal Council, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and Pazari Vazrazhdane.
